Matter is just more complex particle system that takes diverse form. Particles messure themselves by interacting with each other and merge into more complex systems that behave differently. Like Quantum system thas is build on quantum-subsystems taking new forms, entangling with some other systems, complexity rises over time.
Our actions are just messurements of many systems over time from fundamental level upward and backward at the same time like error-feedback loop.
Everything is concious, because everything messures, but complexity of what we call concious diverse. Messurement exists to pass on information.
If one conciousness emarged, then after body death It creates nodes. Nodes are there to share information. First human ancestor did not have identity, it's was pure sensory input information that eventually developed 'self'.
Information transformation over time developed self. Universe created life, extension of self to experience self.
It's an experiment that each node of conciousness will have access to the same informations and can use it in diverse way. Humankind choose to write down observations then it evolved into science, but all knowledge resides in every each one node of conciousness.
It would be like pure conciousness is lense to all know the Universe, because all-knowing is just messurement, it's matter of question how to access those messuring capabilites that allow you to understand the everything in simple words and use those simple observations to create?

So I guess that explains the portal I seen open up in my room when I accidentally took something I shouldn’t have. Woke up looked at foot of my bed and it was like a square folding into itself become a smaller and smaller square. They made a little pop noise when it disappeared. My guardian angel/God something stepped into my reality and saved my life that day.

Well, this could be modelled based off of things like déjà rêvé, where individuals simulate events in dreams far ahead of the event happening.
