Idk why you were hating on chevon so much and backing mike at the beginning and then not really calling out the fact that mike made up the whole situation to ruin chevon for saying no to him? Like its weird for you to dislike her so much right from the get go without reason just cause shes loud especially when she ended up having every reason to be screaming her head off with the accusations being pointed at her. And then saying you like dj after he said he'd give mike another chance even though mike was literally out to destroy his whole family? Mike is literally a disgusting pig and dj is the enabler who is allowing trouble to control his life and negatively affect his family.
I recall some episodes where they brought on trans women and the audience had to guess if they were men or women. I have a vivid memory of a woman saying, 'That's a MAN, Maury, that's a MAN!' directed at someone who clearly identified as a woman. It was a strange, ignorant time indeed.
Iād sneak home at lunch to watch , I wasnāt allowed . I donāt remember most episodes , but I did learn something from the show that I remember , there was a lady who had fraternal twins and tested two men and one was the father of one and one was the father of the other . I didnāt even know that could happen .
Lunchtime during summer breaks consisted of pizza rolls, Maury, Sally, and Jerry Springer. That was back in 1998-1999 and unfortunately, this junk still comes on.

Paternity tests are actually expensive in some places. The DNA test on these shows are free AND they get paid for their appearance. In some states it's just the way people deal with financial and legal problems without a huge financial hit. It's super exploitative but we still don't have universal health care so… Those people court paternity shows do the exact same thing with a legal format.
