Hey I just wanted to say thanks for all the lovely comments this video has been receiving. As many of you pointed out, we put a LOT of effort into this video and really tried to make it something special. Who knows if that will be reflected in the view numbers but your responses make me feel like it was all worth it. Thank you!

I was told the earth was a super planet until another smashed super earth.
The astroid belt and mars is whats left. This is why strange tools are being found deep in the earth.
Also oil has no link to dinos. There was a study the oil is linked closer to plants. So what if the dwarfs had full gardens that was destroyed and became oil.

What do you think would have become of the debris that makes up the rings? Being so close to us so early, often, and effortless to get to (relitive to irl) could either cause something like religious taboos about being on or near them (for example why we never experimented with flying until like the 1800's due to both technological barriers and religious zeitgeist that even DaVinci recognized and caused him to not be so public about his certain creations). OR, it could be more open front and would've leaped our efforts and understanding for exploring the ring and most likely accelerated our interest in going farther and explaining more? Or maybe somthing in the middle more like with our pure unpredictability of a species πŸ˜‚

If Earth had rings, night wouldn't be as dark, and there would be much fewer bicycle collisions with potholes, tree branches, curbs, and what not, because the light from the rings at night would allow cyclists to see better at night.

Lol I didn't expect to hear Matt Mercer's name to appear in this video
Is this is feeling of whiplash when 2 things you never expect to intersect collide?
FYI Joe, Matt is a popular DM of D&D campaign called Critical Role. He sets up amazing stories and settings. I imagine he loves your videos for their scientific information to help him write his own stories

An earth ring would probably be more like the one around Jupiter and Neptune, than the Saturn ring. Means more dark and narrow. The complex structure in the Saturn ring is because of its many moons, some even inside of the ring. An earth ring will be more simple because earth is much smaller and would not have such a complex moon system. Also earth will not have ice moons due to its vincinity to the sun so the ring will not be sustainable.
